Modalpopup

I am trying to use the ModalPopup control on a page that has a couple of update panels. However, all controls are still enabled ( with the exception of dropdownlists which dissappear).

This is causing a huge problem, because if the button that triggers the popup is click more than once, when you close the popup using the OK/Cancel buttons, the dropdown lists do not come back as the control thinks there are other insatnces hanging around but are not visible on the screen.

Any ideas.
